Our "systems change" work has been at the forefront of our success. Our copywritten Far From Home report, "Breaking Down Barriers" to Accessing Public Housing for people with CORI's", entails our 12 Policy recommendations.
We are proud that our hard work and commitment have been recognized by the Dept of Housing and Urban Development. 6 out of our 12 Policy Recs from our Far From Home report have been adopted by HUD.
J4H will educate the Cambridge Community on how we were able to educate Public Housing Authorities on the collateral consequences of archaic discriminatory policies which stemmed from the 1994 Crime Bill, and President Clinton's so called 'War on Drugs', had on communities of color and communities income limit is below 80 AMI.
How our outreach efforts were the catalyst that changed narrative and began the dismantling of systems, strategically in place to police our communities, separate families, and most importantly cause harm in black and poor communities.
